My goodness where does time go? The weather has turned off chilly, down in the 20's. Burr!!!!
Today it snowed. Glad that it wasn't what they predicted.
I finished canning all that I am going to do. Peaches, pears, jams, salsa, whole tomatoes. Etc....
When I was going to get the pears, ( got them from a neighbor) I put my hand down to look at them. And a dang wasp, bit me. My hand was swollen for a week. I hate those stupid things.
I got them on a Monday. Then I waited a whole another week before I did anything with them. I also did pear butter. But that didn't turn out the way that I wanted it to. But I am sure that it will be delious.

Well here it is another day in this fine world. I spent the day doing the normal day off things. Like laundry, cleaning the house. Also I canned fruit, peaches, peach jam, strawberry jam, strawberry freezer jam. I still have the makings for another patch of strawberry jam in the frig. Plus I have 3 bags of cherries in the frig. I am going to try cherry jam. I will have to let you know how this turns out.
So far the others have sealed. It is so wonderful to hear those little popping sounds, when the jars seal. It is a great reward......
My wonderful husband took me out to dinner tonight for my birthday. Oh my gosh , 1 more year until I am 50. Yuck!!!!!! Then he took me and bought me a new couch. I have been wanting one for 3 years now. I will have to take pictures of the old couch and the new couch and post them.

our vacations

Just got back last week for visiting my in-laws in Colorado... Long drive, but very enjoyable. I love the time that I was able to spend with my husband and his family..
Jeff went fishing with his dad and older brother and his son. He out fished everyone.. Alright honey!!!!. He caught a 35 " northern. Two smaller ones, and a lake trout..
His mother and I went shopping at the craft stores and went to lunch... One night another of his brothers and his family came. So there was two of his brothers and their families and his parents, and Jeff's son. And of course his parents...
To begin with this month we went to Idaho for my family reunion on my Dad's side.. There ended up being close to 120 there. This is the first one that we have had in 10 years. Of course there are only 2 Aunts that are still alive. It was good to see everyone and renew our friendship. Hopefully we don't go that many years without seeing each other.
